The reasons for discoloration or surface coloration during the production process of the tablet press and the corresponding measures are as follows:
(1) The color difference of the excipients used in the compound preparation is large, and it is easy to produce freckles without being finely ground or mixed. This needs to be reprocessed. Tablet press lubricants for punching can only be improved if they are carefully screened and mixed with the granules.
(2) The particles are very hard, or when the particles of the color chip are not uniform and dense, spots are easily generated. In this case, the granules must be looser, the colored pellets are made of ethanol-free starch as a wetting agent, the thickness of the granules is uniform, fixed, and the tablet is not prone to defects.
(3) During the compaction process, excessive scaling will fall on the particles and move with the scaling, resulting in oil spots. The upper punch can be equipped with a layer of rubber ring to prevent grease from entering the particles, which should be wiped frequently.
(4) Drugs that are susceptible to moisture, such as some tablets, will change color when they come into contact with metal under wet conditions after being made by a tablet machine. Air humidity can be controlled to reduce contact with metal.
(5) When granulating pellets, use ethanol for pelleting, increase the temperature of the oven oven or the rotation time is too long, the surface color of the particles changes, the surface color of the particles is a little dark, and color spots appear during tableting.
